Did you think all the money you pay as property taxes go to Jefferson County?  No it does not.  The County collects the taxes on behalf of a number of governmental entities.  These entities include municipal governments and special districts.  Special districts can be your source for parks and recreation, for water.  It could be how the developer in your area paid for the sewer pipes and roads.  The number of Special Districts has ballooned in Colorado over the last 30 years.  Jefferson County alone has 182 Special Districts. Bring your property tax bill to the Zoom meeting and explore which Special Districts you and fellow members are located in.  Contact Karil or Robin for further information
