Our active LWV Jeffco Sustainability Team will be working in conjunction with the LWVCO Climate Emergency task force on issues listed below.

What: Debrief from Unit Presentations on CAP and Set agenda for next 4 months

12/30/22 Sustainability Meeting Minutes
Purpose: To plan presentation to made to units January 10,11 and 12.

- Elaine is working on the Power point to convert some County Climate Action Plan graphs for the      presentation.
- We noticed the final plan has no Scope 3 mitigation in it.
- We will first present the positives of the plan with short texts and then present the IRA provisions to save    money.
- We will stress reduction and mitigation.
- We will talk about the plastic reduction act of the state.
- We will talk about the Colorado Electric Transmission authority
- We will talk about the Building Codes.
- Sandy V. wil send CETA and Indoor air quality info to Elaine
- Susan said the reading at the BCC went well. There was no opposition.
- Elaine will use charts on p 15, 17. 15, 27, and 62
- We will stress scope 3 and explain it, along with Resolutions and Goals. Also how the County will administer  it. 
- Also add p.3 Our Climate Solutions
- We have questions about how do people get into the working groups, once they are formed how do they  report, can we help with education?   Schools?
- Discussion – what can you be doing? What do you think of the plan?
- Definitely need EPA Chart of Scope 3.
- Former Colorado Governor Ritter is doing state presentation on the 26th
- Also include p 28 for the slides.
Next meeting January 3 at 9:30 am.
